A new master planned community from Starlight Developments is set to reinvigorate the rental community in British Columbia. 1100 McCallum, the first of six phases to be developed as part of this overarching 54-acre project is set to kick off construction in 2023.

Phase One will consist of four, six-storey, purpose-built energy efficient rental properties. Featuring 597 state-of-the-art suites representing over 500,000 square feet of gross floor area, Phase One will also include just under 10,000 square feet of retail and commercial space.

A New Urban Park

Starlight Developments worked directly with the City of Langford and local biologists to establish a protected environmental area around the site. The Streamside Protection Enhancement Area (SPEA) creates a natural buffer between the development and the surrounding wetland areas in and around Florence Lake.

As part of our efforts to preserve and enhance the area, nest and raptor surveys were conducted, invasive species removed, trees were salvaged and replanted, and wildlife dens and vegetation areas were re-established. Starlight Developments also created a walking trail throughout the SPEA area for residents and local community members to access and learn more about the surrounding natural life.
